Maker Educator Convening 2017: Sponsorship Opportunities

WHAT: Over two days in May 2017, Maker Ed will be hosting the 3rd Annual Maker Educator Convening, hosting over 250 educators from diverse educational settings, including K-12 teachers, administrators, district office personnel, and university professors; librarians, museum educators, and youth-serving leaders and facilitators. The Convening is one of the few conferences dedicated specifically to maker education and provides a venue to share best practices, discuss challenges and successes, and deepen the collective impact of making and learning.

Tuesday, 6pm–9pm: Keynote, Opening Reception / Maker Ed’s 5-year Anniversary celebration
Wednesday, 9am–5pm: Keynote; Demonstrations, Quick Talks; Panels; Workshops; Networking

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

AUDIENCE: Approximately 250 maker educators and organizational leaders who are passionate about providing young people with interactive, open-ended learning experiences—so that youth can develop new perspectives, a belief in their own abilities, and a passion for learning.

MEDIA EXPOSURE: Maker Ed has a national reach among educators, industry leaders in tech, engineering and other prominent fields. We have nearly 25,000 Twitter followers and 6,300+ “likes” on Facebook, and the combined reach of our work with educators touched about 250,000 youth and families in 2016 alone. Maker Ed and our programs have also been covered in news outlets ranging from EdSurge to Forbes to the White House blog, and we work closely with national organizations from the US Department of Education to the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to the United States Patent and Trade Office.
