At Maker Ed we believe too many youth lack the opportunity for learning experiences that engage and motivate them to develop a passion for learning. That’s why we strive to make it possible for every educator in America—particularly those in underserved communities—to facilitate interactive, youth-driven, and open-ended learning experiences for youth. Through training, resources, and a community of support, Maker Ed helps educators develop easily-accessible, highly-flexible paths to engage students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

We’re proud of the work that our staff and our partners are doing. Last year alone, we reached over 250,000 youth and families through the amazing, nation-wide programs we have at Maker Ed. If you value the work we do and would like to support us, please consider one of the following:

  • Be the first to hear about Maker Ed's events, program offerings, and professional development opportunities

We’ve seen the impact maker education has on young learners’ lives, like Sasha in the video below. Hers is only one of thousands of stories shared with us about the transformative experience of making. We see time and again how making grows confidence, builds enthusiasm and excitement for learning, and empowers young people to take ownership of their experiences.
