SPECIAL EPISODE: Friday, July 31, at noon EDT — Can We Actually Reopen Schools Safely?
With disease outbreaks flaring in various states, and a shortage of reliable guidance from the federal government, the country is grappling with the challenges of sending children back to school. Families, local leaders, and school-based educators hold much of the burden of balancing trade-offs between in-person and remote learning.
During this special episode, HGSE Dean Bridget Long and Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute and incoming dean of Brown University School of Public Health, will examine how to reopen schools in a way that limits risks to students, families, and educators.
