Silvia’s Fairy Wall House

December 4, 2012 by Maker Ed Staff

Young Makers are encouraged to follow their interests, whatever they may be. Silvia, shown here, a sixth-grader who loves small stuff, worked with her father to create the Fairy Wall House, complete with LED lights and live plants. Silvia describes the project as:

“An organic looking dollhouse for fairies that hangs on the wall instead of taking up space on the floor like regular dollhouses. It can also be used as a decoration. A picture frame provides the base for the fairy wall house. Branches from our backyard maple tree provide support for several rooms and paths between them. Each room is lit by LED lights. There is also a small garden with real live plants to take care of.”
