What is The Works?
The Works is a hands-on museum in Bloomington Minnesota that makes learning about engineering, science, and technology fun. Our interactive exhibits, activities and make & take projects are designed for family fun and exploration, especially for kids in grades K through 6.
The Works is where kids explore how things work. Our exhibits and activities encourage family collaboration and exploration. Everything is designed for kids to touch, try and explore. It’s a great place for families looking for quality time together that’s fun and educational. The Works’s summer camps are ideal for girls and boys entering kindergarten through 7th grade who love to explore, discover, design and build. Campers have fun, use real tools, and learn how things work with hands-on projects in science and engineering.
What makes The Works unique?
Kids have fun and learn through their own exploration and discovery. How can a pulley make a job easier? What design changes will make their K’NEX car go faster? Kids build things, take them apart, do their own experimentation and then do it all again. At The Works kids use their imaginations, creativity, problem solving skills and have fun. You’ll be amazed at what they can do.
