Students have built different elements of a spectacularly spooky Haunted House that incorporate mechanical design, artistic crafting, and electronic programming.

This project uses Arduino and accessories like sensors and motors to automate household tasks. In particular, it automates:
– Modulate fan with temperature
– Notify the house owner of a burglary attempt
– Control light intensity based upon darkness

We are building a 3D printer from a kit, making 3D scans of ourselves, and printing miniature human and monstrous hybrids, plus some sharks with lasers. Our other projects involve creating electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic propulsion devices.

It’s a motion-activated jack-in-the-box featuring a 3D-printed Mario that also plays the Mario theme song. The box is arduino controlled with an RC servo, a ping sensor, and a piezoelectric buzzer for sound

I am making an electromagnet named Phoenix. Phoenix will be able to turn up, down, on and off. I hope it will be successful

This instrument is made from PVC pipes, tuned by cutting them to match the wavelength for each desired note. 220 feet of pipes are routed with 111 elbows to fit into a wooden frame. Music is made by hitting the top of each pipe with foam rubber paddles

This bookstand flips pages at the push of a button. I was once reading a book and my hands were under my chin. Everytime I had to flip a page, I had to lift my hands. I decided right there and then I would build something to flip pages for me.

It is wooden and will light up when you hit it. I did this project because I like music

Bristle bots run rampant racing through the jungle

I created a night light for my hamster triggered by a PIR motion sensor and Arudino. Whenever he moves at night in his cage, a light will come on.

I made a lockbox. You stick something into a hidden hole to open it. To close it, you shut the lid and it locks.

With just three of these guitars, you can create a staggering 27 different combinations! We know different times and places call for different tools for the job, so that’s why our Modular Guitars can be reconfigured on the spot when you need it most.

In a multi-step process, mechanical devices make objects such as marbles, cars, and boats move and trigger the many steps of this amazing machine with a surprise ending!

It’s a lightning bolt light fest! The tesla coil sits inside a Faraday cage shaped like a tree. Along the outside hang LEDs on a wire. When the tesla-bolts strike, the tree lights up.

We will make two boats. One will be solar-powered and the other will be a steamboat. We will race them. A lego crew will sail the seven seas.
