Cancellation Policy: Workshops & Events

Standard Cancellation Policy

If you have already registered for one of our professional development workshops, and you are no longer able to attend the training, our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Full refund minus a $50 admin fee up to 30 days out of your scheduled training
  • 50% refund after that up to two weeks out from the scheduled date
  • No refund within two weeks of the training date
  • An exception will be made for an unexpected illness, i.e. COVID-19 related issues, and a refund of 50% or a credit to attend an up-coming workshop can be issued

If you would like to cancel your ticket, please email info@makered.org with the subject line “Cancellation.”

Transferring Your Ticket

In lieu of a refund, you can also transfer your spot to someone else. We can transfer tickets up until the day before the event. For online workshops, if you transfer your ticket, you are responsible for ensuring that the physical supplies that were shipped to you are given to the person who is taking your ticket. Maker Ed will not be able to ship another set of materials out.

To do this, please email info@makered.org with the subject line “Ticket Transfer: [Name of Workshop].” Please write to us using the same email address that was provided at registration, and include the full name & email address of the person who you would like to transfer your ticket to. We’ll take it from there!

Maker Ed Cancellation

If there are fewer than eight people registered for the workshop two weeks out, the workshop will be cancelled and you will be issued a full refund for your registration. For this reason, if you plan on coming, register early!
