Companion Guide

Released in mid-2020, Designing for Documentation & Assessment is a professional development companion guide that shares more insight, support, and activities for how to use and adapt the Beyond Rubrics toolkit.

In our supporting blog post about the guide and its release, “Introducing Designing for Documentation & Assessment,” we provide examples of remixes and adaptations — which we encourage! — that educators have tested and implemented. We hope that this guide helps you to use the foundation of the Beyond Rubrics toolkit to better design and consider the ways in which learning, documentation, and assessment align.
