With 10 years of work and evaluation in the field of maker education, we aggregate and share examples of making in action in order to validate, elevate, and amplify work on the ground. We seek to represent work across the country in both formal and informal educational settings, in rural and urban communities alike, at three different levels: the field and movement, the programmatic level related to Maker Ed’s work focused on pedagogy and practice and capacity development through our professional development programs, and and finally, at the level of learner outcomes.
Overall, Maker Ed works to reach every child through the adults that shape their lives. To learn more, check out the qualitative and quantitative stories below, as well as our historical programs, professional development, research, and community engagement.
