SASTEMIC

Located in San Antonio, TX, SASTEMIC serves as a leading advocate and connector for advancing STEM education and economical development within the local community, by offering youth making activities.

SASTEMIC’s Maker VISTA member has been leading the organization’s volunteer recruitment efforts.  The recruited volunteers work with SASTEMIC staff to facilitate youth making activities and support the iconic Geekbus.  Check out SASTEMIC’s photos below!

  • SASTEMIC Geekbus
    The Geekbus is a mobile makerspace that travels to schools or other organizations to provide STEM educational experiences in their classrooms.
  • Geekbus SASTEMIC
    Youth visiting the Geekbus engage in interactive STEM related activities, that spark interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
  • Geekbus 3 SASTEMIC
    Volunteers help guide and mentor youth through making activities such as soldering, stop-motion animation, and LED art.
