Across a varied number and type of opportunities, Maker Ed works closely with individuals and institutions to provide training, resources, and a community of support. We offer everything from national (and international) programs that engage educational institutions to self-paced, free online modules that support an educator’s own growth and development.
Our approach to maker education honors the experiences and expertise each educator brings, the unique character of an organization and community, and the distinct audience that is served. Our tools and resources help to prompt both deeper thinking and concrete planning, and we practice and emphasize the inherent maker values of iterating and sharing.
To help orient, our PD offerings, events, and community efforts are best suited for individuals who are getting started with maker education or who may not be participating as part of a larger organization. Our programs partner with institutions and organizations at a higher level and on a longer timescale.
