Casey’s Arduino Hamster Ball

For 2012, Casey (shown here) created an autonomous hamster ball that moves by shifting weights located within the ball. These movements are coordinated by software that Casey wrote to control an on-board Arduino. Casey’s project the year before was an autonomous R/C car that was instrumented with a camera. The Arduino on board the car was programed to follow circles in its visual field.
